In Memoriam - Mareasa Isaacs

MAreasa

The multicultural world is grieving the loss of one of its pioneers, advocate, educator, and friend.

The Board of Directors, staff, members and volunteers of the National Latino Behavioral Health Association (NLBHA) would like to express our heartfelt condolences for the passing of Mareasa Isaacs to Soraya on the loss of your mother and to rest of her loving family.

Mareasa was an outspoken advocate for children, youth and families, especially children, youth and families of color. Her tireless efforts to advocate and work for the betterment of our communities of color were felt deeply and we appreciated her passion and enthusiasm every day.

“The world of cultural and linguistic competence would not be as advanced as it is today if it weren’t for Mareasa Isaacs” stated Dr. Ken Martinez, Vice President of NLBHA’s board. Thank you Mareasa, for leading the way and teaching us how to do it right.

Sincerely,

Pierluigi Mancini, President

Ken Martinez, Vice President

Wilfredo Soto, Secretary

Mario Hernandez, Treasurer

Fred Sandoval, Operations Manager

And the entire Board of Directors.
