The University of Arkansas at Fayetteville is seeking a mental health clinician for the Pat Walker Health Center’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). Clinical duties include individual, couple, and group counseling, emergency mental health services, consultation with university community, and clinical supervision of graduate students. Additional duties include clinical disposition activities, staff meetings, and clinical documentation, coordination of specific areas (i.e., group, outreach, training, etc.) and other duties as assigned by the CAPS director or assistant director for clinical services. CAPS at the University of Arkansas is in the early stages of establishing a Doctoral Internship in Health Psychology. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of a Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology, including the process of pursing APA accreditation. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education in social work, counseling education, or a related field or Ph.D. in clinical or counseling psychology, counseling education, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education; plus State of Arkansas license for independent practice in one’s discipline or the eligibility for licensure within two years.
