Function
The Behavioral Health Clinician, in collaborating with primary care providers, will develop and deliver behavioral health treatment services in an integrated behavioral health care model.
Specific Tasks/Duties Include
- Works closely with primary care providers to assess patient needs and develop appropriate support and/or interventions. Behavioral services include but are not limited to: individual therapy, behavioral health education, support groups, information on other community resources and linkages to other resources.
- Provides case management support as necessary to ensure that client’s medical, mental health and social service needs are being addressed and met.
- Provides behavioral health consultation to primary care providers, family medicine residents and medical support staff.
- Works with medical staff to manage crisis situations.
- Assists Mental Health Manager in the development and delivery of trainings on behavioral health topics for medical and support staff.
- Completes and maintains client records that meet applicable legal and ethical standards and the requirements of SRCHC.
Minimum Requirements
- LCSW or PsyD with a valid, unrestricted, California license
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience providing similar services
- Experience working in a primary care medical facility preferred
- Experience working with people from various cultures
- Bilingual Spanish and English fluency required
