Seeking Bilingual Behavioral Health Clinicians (PsyD or LCSW)

Function

The Behavioral Health Clinician, in collaborating with primary care providers, will develop and deliver behavioral health treatment services in an integrated behavioral health care model.

 

Specific Tasks/Duties Include

 

  • Works closely with primary care providers to assess patient needs and develop appropriate support and/or interventions. Behavioral services include but are not limited to: individual therapy, behavioral health education, support groups, information on other community resources and linkages to other resources.
  • Provides case management support as necessary to ensure that client’s medical, mental health and social service needs are being addressed and met.
  • Provides behavioral health consultation to primary care providers, family medicine residents and medical support staff.
  • Works with medical staff to manage crisis situations.
  • Assists Mental Health Manager in the development and delivery of trainings on behavioral health topics for medical and support staff.
  • Completes and maintains client records that meet applicable legal and ethical standards and the requirements of SRCHC.

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • LCSW or PsyD with a valid, unrestricted, California license
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience providing similar services
  • Experience working in a primary care medical facility preferred
  • Experience working with people from various cultures
  • Bilingual Spanish and English fluency required
